Don’t ignore your Biological clock……..!

हे Biological clock म्हणजे नक्की कसली भानगड आहे?

एखादी स्त्री जेव्हा जन्माला येते तेव्हाच ती तिच्या अंडाशयात विशिष्ट प्रमाणात अंडे/follicles घेउन येते. जणू हे एक eggs च fixed deposit आहे! जेव्हा तिची पाळी चालू होते तेव्हा दर महिन्याला यातलिच काही अंडी वापरली जातात. म्हणजे fixed deposit मधुन monthly withdrawl चालू होतो!  पण नव्याने अंडी तयार होण्याची काही सोय नसते!

अर्थातच कधी तरी हे fixed deposit संपणार! आमच्या भाषेत बोलायचे तर egg reserve कमी होत जातो आणि शेवटी संपतो. त्यानंतर menopause / रजोनिवृति येते. पूर्वी अशी अवस्था चाळीशी नंतर यायची, पण हल्ली तिशीच्या आत देखील काही स्त्रियांचा egg reserve कमी आढळुन येतो. त्याची कारणे बऱ्याच वेळा सापडतही नाहीत.

पुरुष त्या मानाने भाग्यवान! त्यांच्या शुक्राणु चे production सतत चालू राहते. त्यामुळे वयाच्या सत्तरी पर्यंत देखील ते बाप बनू शकतात.

मग यावर solution काय? तर आई बनन्याचा निर्णय वेळेत घ्या. तुम्हाला करिअर मुळे आता ब्रेक घेणे शक्य नसेल तर egg freezing चा option देखील आहे. ती एक प्रकारे काळा वर तुम्ही केलेली मात आहे. त्याबद्दल सविस्तर पुढच्या ब्लॉग मध्ये!

When God created woman, he was very thoughtful about everything.  He knew that she will play the roles of daughter, sister, wife, enterpreneur and of course mother  very nicely. He kept some differences between man and woman. Some physical differences and some psychological differences!

In my opinion the most important difference is that a man can father a child till very late age, but a woman can’t!  Dear God, why did you do such an injustice to women?

What is this biological clock?

A woman is borne with a fixed number of eggs/follicles  . When she starts her menstruation, every month few of these eggs are utilised . In other words monthly withdrawal starts from the fixed deposit  . New eggs can not be created. Naturally the deposit will be over someday!

As the age advances the egg reserve keeps on reducing until one day it is completely depleted and the woman gets menopause.  This process should happen after the age of 40 years, but nowadays in some women we are seeing decreased egg reserve even before 30 years of age. The reasons are many a times unknown!

Men are fortunate as the process of sperm production keeps on happening continuously throughout life. As a result a man can father a child even at the age of 70years.

What is the solution to this problem then?

Don’t delay your decision of motherhood. Start at right age. If your career is not allowing a break, then you can opt for egg freezing.  I will explain about it in detail in the next blog. Stay tuned😊!
